About Dr. Rao – Biographical Information
Dr. Rao received his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania and attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He took a medical internship at Norwalk Hospital, Norwalk, Connecticut and received his residency training in psychiatry at Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut. He subsequently received fellowship training at the West Haven VA Medical Center, Yale University.
Dr. Rao has 25 years of experience in treating the full range of adult psychiatric problems. His expertise is in the psychopharmacology of addiction (in particular, opiate addiction) and depression. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He has been a member of the American Psychiatric Association for 31 years.

Meet Peter Alan Rao, M.D.
Dr. Rao has over 25 years of experience treating major depressive disorder, including patients with chronic, persistent depression which has not responded to either psychotherapy and/or medication. He has expertise in treating these patients with new antidepressant combinations, genetic testing and TMS, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. Our success rate in helping patients achieve full remission is over 60%.

Hello, my name is Christine. I have worked in many areas of the healthcare field for over 15 years. I received an AAS degree and continued my education at UCO and OSU. I’ve been an office manager for 3 years in pain management and psychiatry. I enjoy helping people and seeing people smile. In my spare time, I enjoy attending church, spending time with family and friends, participating in all outdoor activities and eating great barbecue!
